Vision and Mission
Vellarada Grama Panchayat is a rural, hilly region located adjacent to the state of Tamil Nadu. Situated in the foothills of the Western Ghats, our village is also an agricultural area filled with hills and paddy fields. Therefore, agriculture is the main source of income here. The development vision of Vellarada Grama Panchayat is thus to work towards achieving local economic development by focusing on the agricultural sector and utilizing the potential of innovative technology.
Vellarada Grama Panchayat, which has a higher population and a larger geographical area compared to neighboring Grama Panchayats, has a very low per capita income. The Panchayat aims to improve this by formulating and implementing schemes to bring the grassroots level populations into the mainstream.
